Leg In Cast

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the inlays made out of?

Our 3D cast inlays are made from a highly durable plastic used in the lenticular printing process.  Lenticular printing is a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to produce images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles.  This technology was created in the 1940s but has evolved in recent years to show more motion and increased depth.

How durable are the inlays?

The inlays are a hardened plastic that are extremely durable.  It is very difficult to scratch or damage the inlays and are in fact almost as durable as the cast itself.

How long does it take to apply the inlay in the cast?

It takes approximately one minute for the cast technician to incorporate the inlay when putting on the cast.

How do you remove the inlay?

Simply cut through the inlay with the cast saw just as you would cut through a normal cast, no additional work required!
